Preparations are well underway for our newest and dearest project: gathering supplies and donations and creating care packages for soldiers overseas. Troops are in desperate need of our assistance; sending supplies is the least that we can do. We will also be collecting for Afghan children who desperately need supplies. Beginning this week (once the boxes are out), Phi Theta Kappa officers and members will begin contacting radio stations and news stations in order to get the public more involved in giving donations. There will be boxes places on the ENMU-R campus and at local stores including Wal-Mart. This is a very important project because it will allow us, as U.S. Citizens, to do our part and help our soldiers. More details will be available soon.
